in 6th grade I got mixed up with some wrong people who claimed to be my friends but the whole time they were plotting to humiliate me behind my back & they did. the ridicule & criticism from that same group carried on into middle school and stopped during the middle of 7th grade for a while. my dad died that year & that's when my self harm started. soon after a group of girls began harassing me & humiliated me in front of half of the school numerous times & pushed it to the point where I was terrified to even go to school without someone laughing at me for getting beat up or actually psychically harming me. I'd attempted to run away and suicide twice by then. my self harm continued until I joined band & focused all my sadness & frustration into music. I found a bestfriend who really cares about me & she's helping me to stop cutting & work it out when I'm upset about something. so I just wanted to say thank you.. for giving me the inspiration to keep trying. (:

You are an amazing person Tyler, I haven't self harmed before but came really damn close to it many times. I was bullied in 6th grade on , for no reason at all . I dropped out of high school this last year because it was so bad and no one believed me.. not even the teachers and she got away with it . I am a stronger person now because of it .. It is getting out of control and needs to be stopped. You are an amazing person for what you are doing and have inspired me to turn my account into an anti bullying and help account . It was her sixth grade year. I had once again become a single mother trying to raise two kids on my own. I took her shopping for clothes at Wal Mart. This is where it all began.
My daughter is beautiful. Anyone can see. But it doesnt matter. Six girls at recess forced her into the woods to ridicule her and torment. Yeah, they almost got suspended. A short term punishment for what became a 3yr struggle for my daughter. She is now diagnosed with major depression and social anxiety. These kids didnt stop there. The school didnt do enough. The abuse carried onto the school bus. 3long yrs....now she is looking at medication for modd disorders. The bullies have lost nothing. Their sports, their great grades, their feeling of power because they made it through with a slap on the wrist. My daughter knows. She has school tomorrow. Hiding in the bathroom at lunch time.
I am blessed she is strong. She is with me. But my heart breaks for her every day I have to send her off to school. The place where evil libes tougher than love.

School administrators don't take bullying seriously, they believe it's how kids are when they're young. This is not true, never really has been from my experience and research. I can't really say much apart from you have a very strong daughter, it's not easy to go through what she has, and still is going through. It's is a shame that we live in a society where schools ignore bullies or allow them to get of easy. It's robbing kids of their childhood. School isn't just a place for learning but also for fun and making friends but this hardly ever happens with school administrators overlooking a major problem like bullying.

if possible could your daughter get a mentor or student union rep to support her and put a stop to this criminal action. If this occurred in the workplace the culprits would be disciplined at the least and sacked at best. Approach their parents and threaten civil action if they do not cease.
